One of our favorite and long time roster models is Alia P. She is an experienced veteran of the fit modeling industry with many name brand clients on her resume.

How long have you been modeling and acting?

7 years 

How did you get into the world of modeling/acting?

I was working as a Graphic Designer in a Fashion Company and they asked me to try on their samples occasionally. I did not know that that was a job that I could get paid for! I left that job and became a Fit Model full time. I have never looked back, this career is vey fun and rewarding and I would love to do it everyday for the rest of my life.

What are your career goals?

One of the main things I love about being a Plus Size Fit Model, is getting to work with a client who is new to working on plus size clothing. I truly feel like I am making a difference when I help these companies get their plus size line to fit well and then I see the garments in the store and other women my size or bigger love them. I feel like I have had a part in helping these other women with their confidence and helping the fashion world with their plus size inclusivity.

Whats your biggest acting/modeling career accomplishment so far?

I have one print job in portfolio, for now, but it was for a brand that was established to create a healthy plant based nutrition alternatives for those with dietary restrictions. As a plus size model, I understand that many individuals and the mainstream media frown on others who are plus size, but with this company I felt seen and appreciated and not looked down upon for my body shape.

Hobbies or special skills that you're passionate about?

I love to make costumes! I go to at least one to two conventions every year and build costumes to go with the convention's theme. Being a fit model has actually helped me become a better costumer! I'm not the best sewer, but the fitting tips and tricks I learned in the industry has helped me in my everyday life.

Women's Rights 1000% "Not Your Body, Not Your Business"

What's favorite part about fit modeling?

I love the variety of fit modeling. Every single day is different and that is the main thing I love about my job. I don't even want to call it a job. I am never bored! I have gotten to work in almost every single niche of the fashion industry: casual wear, swimwear, boutique lifestyle, bridal, bras and intimates, athletic wear, and more and I can't wait to work with new clients! Everyday is an adventure.

What are your top three fit modeling tips?
